Channel Letters are commonly used in exterior signage in public and commercial buildings. These letters are commonly made of an aluminum return with a plastic face and are often front illuminated with neon gas tubes or LED.  Since the advent of LED lighting technology, channel letters have become thinner in depth.

In this letter type, the face of the letter is constructed from aluminum and the lighting is directed to the back. This light floods the wall that the letter is mounted to and creates beautiful halo or glow around the letters. The effect of the halo lighting allows for a variety of creative effects depending on the color, sheen, and texture of the building surface.
